Winter Lights

Create something special for the darker season.

In this two-part winter handbuilding workshop, you will create your own seasonal ceramic piece. You can choose to make a candle holder, a decorative winter object, or a larger serving platter or bowl finished with winter-inspired details and textures.

Play with form, texture and decoration to create something that feels entirely your own, whether you keep it for your home, use it during the winter season or give it to someone you love.

No previous pottery experience is needed. The workshop is taught in German and English.

Choose your course dates

Your booking includes both the making session and its corresponding glazing session. You only need to book and pay once.

Please make sure you are available for both dates before booking.

Option 1

Making session: Sunday, 27 September 2026, 3:00 pm–5:30 pm
Glazing session: Sunday, 25 October 2026, 3:00 pm–4:30 pm

Option 2

Making session: Sunday, 18 October 2026, 11:00 am–1:30 pm
Glazing session: Sunday, 15 November 2026, 11:00 am–12:30 pm

When selecting a date in the booking calendar, please choose the date of your making session. The corresponding glazing session is automatically included and does not need to be booked separately.

What to expect

Session 1 – Making

During the first session, we will introduce you to handbuilding techniques and help you shape your chosen ceramic piece. You can create a candle holder, a decorative winter object, a serving platter or a bowl, and personalise it with textures, patterns and seasonal details.

There will be examples for inspiration, while still leaving plenty of room for your own ideas and personal style.

After the session, your piece will remain at the studio to dry slowly before receiving its first firing.

Session 2 – Glazing

Four weeks later, you will return to the studio to glaze your piece. You can choose from our studio glazes and give your creation its final colour and character.

Afterwards, we will fire it for a second time.

Workshop details

• Two sessions: 2.5 hours for making and 1.5 hours for glazing
• Small group of 3–9 participants
• Suitable for beginners
• Taught in German and English
• All clay, tools, glazing and firing included
• One ceramic piece included
• Candles are not included
• Total price for both sessions: €120

Collection

Your finished piece will be ready approximately 2–3 weeks after the glazing session. We will send you an email as soon as it is ready for collection.

If you cannot collect it yourself, someone else is welcome to collect it for you. Shipping is also possible for an additional fee. Please collect your piece within two months after receiving our email.

Cancellation policy

• Up to 7 days before the making session: full refund
• Less than 7 days before the making session: no refund

If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to give your complete course place—including both sessions—to someone else.

If the minimum number of three participants is not reached, we will contact you and find a new date together.
