The Full Spin

Slow down, get your hands in clay and discover the joy of working on the pottery wheel.

This two-day course gives you the time to learn both wheel throwing and trimming—the two essential steps for creating your own finished pottery pieces. In a small group and a relaxed atmosphere, we will guide you through the entire process, from preparing the clay to adding the final details.

No previous pottery experience is needed. The course is taught in German and English.

What to expect

Day 1 – Wheel Throwing
On the first day, you will learn how to prepare and centre the clay, open it up, pull the walls and shape your pieces. With individual guidance, you can create bowls, cups or other small vessels and explore the pottery wheel at your own pace.

Day 2 – Trimming & Finishing
On the second day, your pieces will be firm enough to trim. You will learn how to refine their shape, create a foot and add finishing touches such as handles or small decorative details.

At the end of the course, you can choose from 12 studio glazes. We will glaze and fire your pieces for you.

Collection

Your finished pieces will be ready approximately 5–6 weeks after the course. We will send you an email as soon as they are ready for collection.

If you cannot collect them yourself, someone else is welcome to collect them for you. Shipping is also possible for an additional fee. Please collect your pieces within two months after receiving our email.

Cancellation policy

• Up to 7 days before the course: full refund
• Less than 7 days before the course: no refund

If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to give your place to someone else.

If the minimum number of three participants is not reached, we will contact you and find a new date together.
